24/7 Emergency Septic Service in the Lehigh Valley
Septic emergencies don't wait for business hours. Sewage backing into your home, a screaming alarm, or wastewater surfacing in the yard gets our immediate attention — day, night, weekends, and holidays.
What counts as a septic emergency
- Sewage backup into toilets, tubs, or floor drains — the clearest emergency there is
- Wastewater surfacing in the yard over the tank or drain field
- Strong sewage odors inside the home that appeared suddenly
- Pump alarm sounding continuously on a system with an effluent pump
- Complete drain stoppage across the whole house (not just one fixture)
Not sure it's an emergency? Call anyway. We'd rather talk you through it at midnight than have you wait until morning with sewage rising.
What to do while you wait for us
- Stop adding water. This is the single most important step. No laundry, dishwasher, or showers.
- Don't use chemical drain cleaners. They won't fix a septic backup and they'll kill the bacteria your system needs.
- Keep people and pets away from any surfacing wastewater — it's a health hazard.
- Don't open the tank yourself. Septic tanks contain toxic gases. Leave the lid where it is.
- Note what you observe — when it started, which fixtures are affected, any alarm sounds. It helps us diagnose faster.
What we'll do when we arrive
First, we stop the immediate problem: pump down the tank to relieve the backup, silence and diagnose alarm conditions, and contain any surfacing waste. Then we find the cause — full tank, blocked line, failed pump, saturated field — and lay out your options with upfront pricing. Emergency service costs more than a scheduled visit (you're paying for immediate response at 2 AM), and we'll tell you exactly what the emergency rate is before we roll.
Many emergencies turn out to have simple causes: a tank that went a decade without pumping, a stuck float switch, or a filter that was never cleaned. Whatever it is, we'll fix what's broken and set you up so it doesn't happen again — starting with getting you on a proper pumping schedule.
Preventing the next emergency
- Pump every 3–5 years without fail — most backups we see are overdue tanks
- Know where your tank lid is and keep it accessible (consider risers)
- Never flush wipes, grease, or hygiene products
- Get a system inspection if your system is aging or you just bought the home
- Pay attention to early warnings: slow drains, gurgling, odors — and call before they become emergencies
